  February 5, 2014 8:00 PM ET
Richard Bolles is the author of the seminal book, What Color Is Your Parachute? A PracticalManual for Job-Hunters and Career Changers, and reminds us of the importance of taking ownership of our careers and changing our behaviors in order to achieve our career goals. Think about the time we invest in our hobbies, sports, entertainment and extracurricular activities and then think about the time contemplating and executing a career plan.

Richard will remind us of the importance of making career management a part of our every day activity. It doesn't matter if you are just starting your career, or if you are making a mid-course career change, the ideas and strategies Richard shares will give you a foundation to take your career to the next level.

We are excited to offer again this webinar series featuring career trade book authors. Over 600 UR community members participated in this program last year as they sought to keep their knowledge and skills for career management and job search honed for the new expectations and requirements of today’s professional.

So much has changed as the Internet and Social Media websites continuously and drastically shift how hiring managers find and tap possible employees. Beyond basic skills in networking, interviewing and resume writing, professionals need to understand Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn and build a “personal brand” and manage your career as an entrepreneur manages a small business.

It’s easy, it’s free. Live webinars are offered on the first Wednesday of each month (except January, when it's the second Wednesday). You register only once and gain access to the full series of presentations from the nation’s top career authors and experts right on your computer, tablet or smart phone.
